During my secondment at the University of Barcelona (UB) from November to December 2025, I had the opportunity to engage closely with questions of higher education access for marginalized communities, especially “refugee students”. In doing so, I met many inspiring people within and beyond the project and experienced Barcelona with open eyes in relation to the research topics, which was deeply enriching and raised many new and interesting questions. Through workshops, project meetings and exchanges with local initiatives, I gained valuable insights into solidarity-based support structures and the challenges of higher education inclusion. Overall, the experience was highly enriching and strengthened the collaboration between Vielmehr für Alle! and the EHEI network.
