Institutional description

AlterNativa Intercanvi amb Pobles Indígenes (AIPI) is a Catalan association that has been working for 40 years to defend the rights and contributions of Indigenous Peoples, primarily in the Americas.
The accompaniment of all kinds of litigation and struggle processes, support for areas such as intercultural education, autonomous communication, and the defense of peoples’ right to self-determination, are understood according to a principle of exchange and reciprocity. The struggles, resistance, diagnoses, and solidarity deployed there make the return journey in the form of learning, proposals, research, and alternative models to strive for social transformation here.
